We had a little family party Monday night over at the cousin's house.
We sang "Happy Birthday" for the first of many times in this birthday month.
After which he opened his first of probably many robots he will open this birthday month.
Later that night, (actually early the next morning--3 a.m.) , he woke up so excited to show me his robot. I, realizing he only has a birthday once a year, let him stay up and play on our bed for 45 minutes before convincing him to sleep.
Even at 3 a.m. it was cute.
The next morning (his actual birthday) he requested the birthday song 12 times-- after he always clapped for our singing skills. Either that, or he was clapping for his manipulation skills. Both of which I was perfectly okay with.
Hey, don't judge. It's his birthday month.
In two weekends we'll have the friend party. Why the long wait?
Well, some kiddos we want there will be out of town this weekend.
Besides, this is Birthday Month.
